Corporeality tags

      Genuinely interested in Indian art and aesthetics, I have been learning dance since my childhood. The dance conscientious enabled me to touch the feet of its different skills from different gurus. I have been learning Odissi dance, the Indian classical dance form under the tutelage of Srimati Madhurima Goswami from the last few years (from 2003) and actively involve in her Organisation KKIPA. Also the knowledge of Abhinaya (interpreting the poetry) of Satriya Dance under the guidance of Srimati Garima Hazarika. Skills of traditional Folk and Classical Performances are come to me to learn through in many ways specially attending workshops. Presently, I am doing research (both academic and application oriented) on Deodhani Performance, a religious performance of Assam.

Continuation reveals mostly the group performance- participations in Dance drama, Dance Theatre, Dance performances and Workshops. 

Classical and Creative Dance/Ballet performance (Group Performance):

1.  Performed  in the Gita–Govindam at Tezpur Festival in the year 2003 under KKIPA.
2. Performed Odissi recital (Pure dance and Abhinaya) in the Tezpur Central University (2010), Assam Valley School premises (2008).
3.  Performed Odissi piece in a composed dual composition Jugal-bandi (2006).
4.  Performed Odissi-Dasavatar in Assam Sahitya Sabha (2005).
5.  Performed Satria Recital at Sankardev Kalakhetra, Assam (2007) under the organisation Mitali Kala Kendra.
6. Participated in Nritya Sanrachana, A Festival of National Choreographic Work (2007) at Guwahati, Assam and performed in the dance drama Prakiti Manav (Nature and Human) composed by Srimati Garima Hazarika.
7. Performed creative dance in Odissi style. The text is based on Gita Govindam composed by Pandit Yasraj (2008). 
8. Performed in a Documentry on Bishnu Rabha, an eminent scholar and performer from Assam, telecasted in the Prasar Bharti, Guwahati in the year 2000.
9. Performed in vary many creative ballets under KKIPA, viz., Hey Ardhakash(O Halved Sky!), Mor Sotal (My courtyard), Sirapravahmaan (Forever Flowing) and  N-E Culture between 2004-2006.

11. Performed in a solo dance concert ''Indian Temple Dance'' at Paide, central Estonia on 10th November,2012. It is followed by a Jugal-Bandi with Musician (flute) Leho Rubis.
